Flavour is the main reason someone sticks with vaping rather than drifting back to cigarettes, and it is the hardest thing to shop for online: you cannot taste anything through a screen. So the tool above does not ask you to describe what you want. It asks what you already like, which you know, and works outwards from there.
How the suggestions are worked out
Nothing here is an opinion about taste. Every suggestion comes from the catalogue:
- The same fruit is the strongest signal. A Banana Ice and a Strawberry Banana Ice share a base, and that matters more than anything else on the label.
- Then the family it sits in — fruit, menthol, drinks, dessert, sweets, tobacco.
- Iced or not decides more than people expect. A cold version of a flavour you like without ice is a different vape, so the tool keeps to whichever side you are on.
- A nudge toward what several houses make, because a flavour four brands copied is a safer punt than one nobody else thought worth making.
The fourth suggestion deliberately breaks all of that. It shares no words with yours and sits in a different family — it is the "you might surprise yourself" slot, and it is the one worth adding to a four-pack.
How to pick a first bottle
- Buy the flavour you already vape. Nearly every failed switch is someone who changed device and flavour on the same day, decided vaping was worse, and went back.
- Coming off cigarettes? Tobacco is the obvious answer and often the wrong one — it rarely tastes like a cigarette and the disappointment puts people off. Try one tobacco alongside one fruit or menthol.
- Buying more than one? Do not buy four of the same family. Three close plus one sideways is exactly what the tool gives you, and the multibuy prices four the same as three.
- Dessert and sweets kill coils faster. Sweeteners caramelise on the coil, so a dessert all day means changing coils noticeably more often than a fruit would.
Strength, before flavour
Every bottle here comes in more than one strength, and getting that wrong will ruin a flavour you would otherwise like. 20mg nic salt for a 20-a-day smoker in a tight pod kit, 10mg for a lighter smoker or a few weeks in, 5mg once you have settled or if the kit is at all airy. Every suggestion above lists the strengths that brand offers.
The same flavour, different houses
93 of our 586 flavours are made by more than one brand, and on 62 of them the price genuinely differs. That is what the panel under the suggestions is for. Where brands differ is sweetener level and how hard the ice hits — so if you like a flavour but find it too sweet or too cold, the fix is usually the same flavour from a different house rather than a different flavour altogether.
